Default 91 Auto transmission Fluid Flush

Hey Guys i got a question, i am about to get my auto transmission flushed, also i got a 91 accord with 220,000 miles on it, and i am not sure if its ever had a flush before was my cousins and she pasted it on to me seeing that shes a girl i bet it has'nt been change so i think it would be a good idea to get it flushed but i hear things like if you get it flushed on a old car then the transmisson with crap out after about 4 gas tanks fill ups, so what do you guys think Flush or no flush being that its a old car with a lot of mileage on it.
( couldnt find any info on trans flush on a high mileage car so that why i posted)

Do NOT flush Honda Accord trannies.

Drain and fill and only use Honda ATF.

I asked several mechanics (one a transmission specialist) this question about my 98 accord with 93K miles. They said don't mess with it. I asked the honda dealer mechanic and he said do it, moreover he said they flush the transmission with 12 quarts of honda atf with a conditioner added to help clean it, then they refill with fresh fluid. He also told me it would cost $149 and take about 45 minutes. In the end, I decided not to chance messing with it. It's a tough call, there is no clear answer. The more people you ask, the more opinions you will get. Good luck.

I say again... Honda Accord trannies are NOT to be flushed. This is common knowledge. Just look at other posts on the board here. If a mechanic is recommending this, STAY AWAY from them.

Do a fluid CHANGE only or just tell whoever that this is ALL you want done. And use Honda ATF only.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I am saying that Honda trained mechanic's at the dealership do. They have a machine to flush the tranny.
