I've heard of others with this problem and it turned out to be bad switches somewhere in the system. Check your hood switch and trunk switch - have you had any recent fender benders or body work done that would cause alignment issues? Switches can corrode and wear out too - yours are 7 years old. May just need some lubrication.

If the switches don't properly engage, the system won't arm itself...

Just one idea...

I've heard the same thing. A broken switch or door sensor would do this. If you leave a door open and try to lock the car via remote, it gives the same results, locked doors with no tail light flash.

Next time you drive your car, make sure all the doors, hood, and trunk are secure. Then look at your dashboard to see if the indicator picks something up.

stock system does not have valet mode.

either the trunk or hood switch is out.

i dont think you can unlock/lock doors while a door is open.

too late to try right now... ill post back in the morning
