Parking Brake on 03 Accord
Does anyone know how to adjust the parking brake on an 03 Accord?

if it's like previous models, its right near the handbrake itself, open the console and check it out.

out of curiosity, why would you need to adjust the parking brake?

The cables typically stretch out a little over time if it's used often of used when parking. If you live in an area with hills, I could see it looseneing up easily after 2 years. If it's too loose you can't get enough cable pull ot set the calipers tight enough.
FYI the parking brake is not hydralic, it's actuates the rear calipers mechanically with a cable. So even if your brakes failed, you can still stop by using the handbrake combined with engine braking by downshifting. If in a absolute emergency... on a long steep downhill for example.... you could also turn off the enigine while still in gear to get even more front wheel braking.

I like to use the parking brake when I park on our driveway (it's pretty steep) or it's hard to shift out of park. I assume that there's some simple way to tighten it (it comes up all the way and barely engages) but I can't figure out how.

Id rather loose power steering than my life. Plus at a certain speed the wheel isn't that hard to turn without power
Stop asking me for radio codes!

If you killed it at say 80MPH, could you restart it before it stopped and before you had to put it back in P(ark)?

Don't turn off the engine... That might turn off the tranny controller & then you won't know what it's going to do.
BTW, for most cars if you close the throttle with the engine speed above something like 1500 rpm, the ECU shuts off the fuel injectors completely. That means switching off the key isn't gonna give you any more braking power. All it'll do is lock the steering wheel

Yeah, I decided to go down my driveway at about 30MPH and shut off the car. It sucks hard. I hit a patch of gravel and ended up losing my rear end. I'm serious. I didn't wreck or anything or even hit anything, this was a controlled experiement. But anyways, I shut the car off and the wheel got SUPER TENSE and I could barely turn it, hit the gravel and I fishtailed. I fishtailed in a FWD car, wtf. lol.
Good test though
