Default 2000 accord brake failure

My 2000 Honda Accord brakes failed to stop vehicle a week after Miller Honda did preventative maintenance on the break system at a cost around $1000. resulting in the vehicle being unable to stop with the brake pedel pushed all the way to the floor.
Has any one else had this problem?

Take your Accord back to the dealer and get them to fix your braking problem.

Possible causes:
-leak in the brake system (red brake warning light on dash would be lit up; possible bad piston seal or incorrect repair)
-did not bleed the brake system correctly (air in brake lines = spongy brake peddle)
-turned the front brake discs but didn't rough up the surface afterwards (linear grooves on disc surface = poor braking power; think record album groove to envision linear grooves)
-could even be wrong brake fluid type (not likely with dealer)

take care,
ChrisS

Thank you chris, but i rear ended a car cause brake failed and my insurance co said to find an independent adjuster to determine why brakes failed. Im nervous about bringing the accord back to the honda dealer cause they will protect themselves for doing a bad job on the brakes in december. Any good brake folks in the la area that can determine why brakes failed?

For brake inspection try:
-AAA
-your local bureau of automobile repair (or equivalent)
-do a yelp search for local brake repair shops
