Default leaking oil pan gasket, hard to change?

My 97 accord, has a leaky oil pan gasket, it has ever since i have owned it. I figure I might as well change it, but I was wondering do you have to remove the front part of the exhaust on this gen to change the gasket? I had the previous gen and on it you don't. The reason I am asking before I do it is that if I have to remove the exhaust then maybe I will get a header put on at the same time and will I even notice a difference with the rest of the exhaust stock? I have a EX but in Canada it is the same as the american LX. So I just have a stock manifold right now. I also have an air intake, but that's about it. Thanks,

Fred

IIRC you're gonna have to pull off the downpipe that goes into the cat from the mani to be able to pull the oil pan.. the gasket should be easy though. just be sure to scrape all of the old gasket off before applying the new one.

yeah, that if you can lose the down pipe nuts. Those are nuts are probably rust like a mota fuka. Once that is out, then you have a home run.

a little liquid wrench and they should come out fine as long as they're still warm

Spray the three nuts holding the downpipe to the exhaust manifold first, then let them sit for an hour...

Might want to watch the other gasket..rear main seal...

When you change pressures like that...it might throw that gasket off and it might start leaking too....but this is just my opinion..
