2004 EX V6 - Oil Change - When?
Hi, I bought my Accord V6 Coupe 6spd in mid-Feburary 2004. I didn't drive it until about late April though as I had it stored for a harsh winter. I drive typically about 40 miles per day which equates to 200-250 miles per week. I travel occasionally so at this date (August 3rd), the car only has 2600 miles on it.
Question: Should the oil be changed? I have Mobil 1 0W-20 (which I have learned is the correct oil), but I am concerned that I need to wait until about 3500 miles to change the oil as it's the 'break-in oil'. The owner's manual and Honda website both strongly recommend leaving this oil in for 7500 miles (which I think is a little excessive). I am equally concerned because I have never had a car with the same oil in it for 6 months!!? Does time matter in this case? Or is it mileage. I am not on the 'severe' schedule, so ...
Anyone have any good suggestions? I need the facts ... Thanks!!!

Thanks for the link you provided but it refers to a thread which just addresses oil change intervals, not WHEN to have the initial oil change given my unique set of conditions. Read first posting. I just need to know if I shoudl continue to 5K miles in spite of the fact I've had the car for over 6 months now.
Thanks!
