Fixing speed sensor? Shop trying to rip me?
Ok so this shop says my speed sensor is broke and they want $200 to fix it. My questions:
Is this a rip-off? $200 seems a little much, but I don't know what the part costs.
Is this something I could fix myself?
Thanks.

something seen wrong, what exactly is broken because i dont think that just brake like that unless the shop did it themself, it does go bad but it doesnt brake. and what exactly is the problem u have righ now with the speed sensor? because me and a few others had problems like the needle would jump alll over and couldnt tell the righ speed and it was a $5 fix at a transmission place only.

i was putting a different tranny in my car and my friend didn't unplug the harness to the speed sensor so when the tranny came out it was hanging from the wire and then it broke after that
so thats why i got a new one
is there a recall out for you car research it if you want
