Default 97 Accord Rim Size

I just bought a Black 97 Accord LX 4 Door and I was thinking about putting some rims on it but I'm not sure what size rims will fit the car without making body adjustments so the wheels won't rub. If anyone knows the answer to this and can help me out I would appreciate it, thanks.

The biggest thing is having the right offset. The width and offset will determine whether or or not you rub. Also remember to keep the overall diameter close to the stock size.

On 5th gens, 17's look good, 18's look great. Just depends on what you like. Just know that the bigger you go, the more goofy it's gonna look without a drop.

Personally, if you get 17s or bigger, you should lower the car to avoid the 4x4 look. It's an optical illusion really, but if you search on here, you'll see what I mean.

jschmid is right. When I got my 17s my car really looked like it was lifted. Needless to say the next day I bought lowering springs and new shocks.

I agree with the 4x4 syndrome. The eyes play tricks on you. I recommend if you have a 7 or 7.5 inch width rim to get a +45 offset. I had this on my 97 Accord LX and it fit perfectly in my opinion. Wheel/tire setup stayed right in line with fenders and didn't stick out, yet cleared the struts and did not rub, even with my Eibach pro kit drop.
