Question: tires for Accord EX-L 2015
Hello,
I am wondering if the tire size 235/50/17 would fit safely my accord 2015? The tire can fit the rim perfectly, but I am not sure if it fit my car (originally is 215/55/17).
I am thinking about replacing my tires be cause the original tires are kind of narrow that may cause my rim scratched when I park along the curve. A little wider tire may help me a little warning when the wheel make contact with the curve (if occur) instead of the rim.
Thank you very much!

You're only talking about 10mm on each side of the tire (235-215 = 20, 20/2 = 10).
The front tires inside edges are what counts.
Tirerack shows 235/45-18 as a fit for your car. (that's what the Sport version has)
Also, changing from 55 to 50 series tires means the speedometer should be adjusted. (tire radius is smaller on 50 series; meaning speedometer and odometer will show more speed/miles)

thank you very much ... If the tire size 235/45/18 fit my car, I think 235/50/17 would fit too, because my rim is only 17".
I do not really know that 10mm extra each size has any impact on handling, break, or steering, etc. performance.
