Default How do manufacturers rate 0-60 times?

I know this seems like a wierd question, but I ran my car on one of those new Beltronics performance computer yesterday, and it ran a 7.9. Everywhere I've seen specs a '95 EX at about 8.9-9.1. I know those computers aren't COMPLETELY acurate, but I know it can't be more than a second off. BTW, it estimated wheel HP at 110 peak, measured at 55 mph. Only mods are CAI, Iridium plugs + 10.3mm wires, and I know they certainly don't explain a 1 sec drop. Any help here would be appreciated, I don't understand it. I'd always thought my car was a little quicker than 9 secs.

EX's have 125 HP and yours might have 127 HP .........i would not trust the computer? go to a track and clock your 0-60 that would work

Well, I know the EX has 125 HP, so 110 WHP doesn't sound too wrong. I did give the computer the correct weight including myself (~2475 lb). I should think the computer would be pretty accurate... the physics of acceleration are pretty simple, and the thing is pretty accurate just driving around showing g forces. Anyway, it allows a 1 foot rollout on takeoff, maybe that would do it. Oh well.

manufacturer's o-60 times are typically very conservative (ie no clutch dropping, peeling out etc). also it looks good when an independant mag tests the car to be faster than the factory says it is. (like 280hp gt-r's :chuckles: )

Re: magnaflow

Looking to sell my Super Sprint header and custom mid pipe with Magnaflow spun core ceramic high
flow cat. This will fit any year R50 or R52 or R53. The 4-2-1 design is good for mid range power.

I need this, is it still for sale?
