Default will regular gas mess it up....

i am puttin a B18C in my 95 civic this weekend and my tank is already partially filled with regular gas, im just wondering is it bad to run that gas through the motor bc i know it should have a higher octane.

The GSR ECU is smart enough to adjust timing. However, a chipped P28 is not.

i was not sure so i called the honda dealer and they said regulare is fine and the computer would adjust to it but you might hear a slight knock but it will go away and it is noting to worey about i also called and independent shop and aked and he said it is fine they only recomend premium for the increase in prefprmance

If you hear any knock I'd throw a bottle of octane boost in it. Siphoning a gas tank is a PITA. Trust me. I siphoned the gas out of my GSR swap. :squint:

Chipped Civic ECUs can't control a knock sensor, which means they will merrily knock their way all around town without adjusting for the lower octane.
