Do you know why the stock exhaust is now touching the body of the car? If you can find that out and fix it, you might not need to buy an aftermarket exhaust...if the rattling is your reason for wanting to buy one.
There are axleback exhaust setups out there that should just bolt up. Sorry, I can't help you in that department though.

two days ago i went down to my local shop and had them weld a tenzo r muffler up to my stock exhaust ( 98 civic). I thought the sound was going to be really ricey and shitty. It turned out to be a quiet but deep tone. Not too much , not too little kinda like apexi ws. I recomend that muffler, and it looks sick on my civic.

that's the thing, i don't want any other weldings on my car. i used to have a full custom focuz exhaust. took it off. sounded and looked nice too. but went stock. want to get a new muffler cuz dat damn rattling is annoying

The only axleback system that I know of is the Spoon Sports rear section for the EG6. Those cost a pretty penny but are availible at our sponsor at www.modacar.com for $385 http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Civic/MODARES/
Otherwise, all the universal mufflers need to be welded, unless you go with a full catback system.
