Default Having a problem with my automatic transmission.

I was driving home today, and when I stopped at a stop light, when it turned green, everyone went, and I didn't. My tranny wouldn't engage. I was wondering if anyone with previous experiance with this problem could help me. Sometimes it will work for like 30 seconds, and then won't engage anymore. I was told by the guy that towed me home that there might be a sensor malfunction. So if anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate anything you can tell me.

Would the stick stay in D4? Were you in N trying to get into D4?

Personally I've never had any auto tranny break on me, never even knew anyone who had an auto tranny malfunction.

Dunno what to tell you mang, good luck!

i've had this happen to me. i'd get the tranny checked out. mine went bad because the thermostat was bad, so the cooling fan wouldn't come on and made the tranny overheat. i had to get it replaced. and when that happened, it would hesitate to actually go and sometimes slip out of gear.

Well how much was that? Hopefully that's not what I'm going to have to do.

One thing I have to ask, did your check engine light come on before this happened?

ok, well my check engine light came on just a little while before it happened. I went to auto zone to have them check the code, and it said something about a torque converter circuit malfunction. What ever that means.

The torque convertor transfers power to your wheels. In essence it's the clutch for automatics. Take it to a Honda dealer and let them know what that place said was wrong with it. I'm not sure exactly what that circut malfunction means.

I was thinking it was the torque converted already. I just don't know what the hell circuit it was talking about. Oh well.
