Default Ecu?

Well I received my motor and it looks as if the motor fell on the ECU during shipment. There's a nice big dent in it. I took the cover off and it damaged a few chips on the board. However, I think it may take some time for me to get a new one so I was wondering if I can go elsewhere to get one. Even if I have to pay out a little bit. I really don't want to spend more than $200 if I have too. The reason I need one soon is because my mechanic already ripped my motor out and put the new one in.

Does a hondata replace the ECU or is it more like a piggie back? And how much would one run me with stock GSR settings?

Looking for a 99-00 b18c. Actually I I sent the one back that was damaged and they said they shipped it out next day air. So I might not need one now:thumbup: But I've heard that before.........
