Default civic ek powersteering install possible???

got a 96 civic ek with gsr swap. i hate the no powersteering part.

question, is it just a bolt on swap if i get a rack and pinion from a 94 and up integra gsr with the p/s pump ?

suggestions,,, ??? anyone???

its a fun car to drive but might have to sell it if i cant do anything about the p/s part......

parking is bundled up where i live unfortunately so parking it is a pain.


so has anyone done this ??? like get a rack and pinion from a gsr integra and transfer it to a 96 civic ek???

No, get powersteering from an EK with P/S like an LX or EX. The Integra steering rack uses a different bolt pattern. You would need a DC2 subframe too, though it can take a reinforcement to make it stiffer, so if you took the subframe/steering rack, you get the quick ratio and a suspension upgrade in one, hehe. You will need the whole rack, hoses, resovoir, pump, engine brace and belt.
