re: OEM 96 - 98 Civic driving/fog lights (the square ones)

First & foremost, could somebody post pix of these lights... actually on a Civic (preferably white)!? Secondly, are they fog lights or driving lights?
Also, would it be possible to convert them to HID?

    Thanx!

There was a pic of a white one with the squares on a foglight thread here on HAN.

Try a search for a foglight thread...

the only thing I'd be scared about with those lights is the quality. Its virtually impossible to get the real ones anymore, so all you can get is replicas, that sell for about 1/3 - 1/4 the price of the real ones, and are made by companies such as APC. I'd be afraid that they'd be pieces of sh1t that would leak/melt/ etc. The square ones do look nice though...much nicer than the round

Actually, the aftermarket ones are made by RE Works (under APC).

I've seen a number of different companies that make them...not just apc. I would just be really leery of the quality. Obvious, APC and companies like it don't make the best quality stuff...and considering that those kits go for only about $70-$100s, while the OEM ones (if you could still get them) would go for $200-$300. That has to say something.

Go PM or ask user "White95CivicSi" as he's the resident HAN 5G Civic OEM/OEM-style foglight expert! If I remember correctly, he's currently using Depos right now.

I know Pilot makes OEM replica foglights for 6th gen, but they only come in the round style. Pilot however is a halfway decent brand that makes a pretty reputable product. Its not Raybrig, but its not bad.
