Default question about engine codes...

whats the engine code for a 99 - 00 civic ex?...is it still d16y8 or does it go into the b series?...

As far as I know it is still D16y8. The only difference between the 96-98 and the 99-00 Ex's are cosmetic (bumper,headlights etc). The new D series are D17A(something).

only the SI has the b-series. all non SIs are SOHC right?

The only difference between 96-98 and 99-00 D16Y8s is that the 99-00 has a couple extra sensors for OBD-IIb
