Default Engine Swaps

Does anyone know the largest size engine you can put in a del Sol? I have heard that the 1.8L is the max, but some conformation would be nice. I was thinking either Integra GSR or Type - R. If anyone has some additional links with information to either of these swaps it would be nice.

I met a guy w/ an H22A and a/c AND p/s! That ish was sick! Nice power, that extra tourqe for daily driving was wild, you hardly ever had to get over 5k rpm for anything but racing. I think he ran a 13.6 w/ a system on drag radial. That's a fast street car.

What would the weight distribution of a Sol with an H22 be?! Just curious...

Not sure on the numbers, but it's pretty front heavy. You'd get a lot of understeer going into corners...

Would you be able to put a turbo or SC on an H22 or even a B18 from a GSR is you had taken out the Power Steering but still had the AC?

my buddys shop has done a ton of b18 swaps they are cake in a delsol to swap i think the biggest i would go is a b20 still tons of room for tubo ac power steering etc.. the h22 is super tight in a prelude much less a sol.. we have swaped a few in civic hatch backs it would be easy to supercharge that as far as turbo it could be done but that alot of custom piping and even at that it would be tight..

I am considering a B18 swap with either a turbo or supercharger. How much of an affect would an overbore of about 0.2L on a GSR engine with FI have? Tell me how this sounds. Thanks

I have a H22 in my del sol and when compared to my friends prelude, there is more room up front for a turbo in the del sol than there is in the preludes. To supercharge using a JRSC setup would be impossible in a civic/delsol chasis with the H22 cause its really tight on the intake manifold side.

Would it be possible to use a JRSC setup on a GSR motor in a del sol?
