well know how my car was shaking.....

Well i brought it in to get looked at today, I just got a call, all 4 of my steelies were bent badly The car drove fine as far as i remember in March, but all of a sudden the car shakes like crazy. I cant even think how they could have gotten bent sitting in my shed from march til this past weekend. The guy said that it was some of the worst bent rims from a non accident that he has ever seen. Now i am wondering if my previous tires were out of balance, but when i got new tires they bent the ish out of my rims. And to make matters worse he gave me a price on 4 new steelies, and the mounting and balancing of my tires $361

How did they bend? Where there heavy objects on top of them during storage? That doesnt make sense.

    I bent my 13" steelie

You could pick up a set at a junkyard for dirt cheap.

I have any extra 13" one if you happen to be unfortunate to be blessed with 13" stock wheels..

there was nothing on top of them at all during storage.
I am soo baffled as to how it happened.
Now i am really bitter at the place that i bought/got my tires mounted and balanced. IF this was soo obviously bent why would they mount them?
Is there any action i can take against them for mounting the tires even though the wheels were bent. or against them for possibly causing the damage?

Unfortunately, you probably can't prove much in terms of taking action against the place that mounted your tires. You could, however, give them a call and tell them the situation...if they get defensive about it, something's up.

I brought my 17's over to the shop to have him put em on so i could have a car for the weekend, but when he went to take my stockwheels off he noticed I left the Hub Centric rings on all 4 of my wheels
I thought something wasnt right when i happened to try and put my steelies on and i heard plastic breaking and saw little pieces of black plastic all over. but of course i didnt do anything about it.
    I am an idiot

Now another question, where can i get new Hub Centric Rings?

I feel like such an idiot

Hey you know how I know you might have left them on? When I put my 14s from my Civic onto my wife's Jetta which was the same bolt pattern the hub was a different size and I thought I had everything tightened down and when she drove away the wheels/tires wobbled

Glad I could help Order hub centric rings from the company who made your wheels.

well thats how i felt orignally but he was the one who noticed the rings there. My Family have been bringing our cars tehre for as long as i can remember so i am not that upset with him. I would have been pissed off if i had bought a set of steelies from the Junkyard when i called there. i didnt have to pay anything more than like an hour of labor so i am not too upset.

My wheels are konig tantrums so i would order the rings directly from them? How do i do that???
