Damn, ya'll guess what happened to me! Got my car stolen!
It aint right. I know it was for the rims (17" white konigs) Had some engine work done too. All gone. O well, at least I had full coverage right?

But I'm thinking of getting out of the game. I've lost my ambition to be the hottest and fastest car out there. Too much hard work for that little bit of horsepower gain and those rims and that system. And if I do get back in the game, I'm not sure if it'll be with a Honda

Right now I'm looking at a 96 Jetta GLX (VR6) It's going for $3500 but needs a tranny. So here's a quick question: How much do ya'll think it'll cost to get the job done. If it's affordable, I might just do it, if not I'm getting out of the game and just gonna cop a truck or sumthin like that.

Not worth it, tranny job for a Jetta would be at least $3000+... unless you can SOMEHOW get it under warantee if you are THAT good.

And since I've gotten alot responses tellin me not to cop the jetta what do ya'll think about a 2000 Dodge Neon with 38,000 mi. on it goin for $5400. That's priced to sell but I heard those cars got bad tranny

I also found a 96 Z24 for about $5300. I'm really feeling that. Those things got 170 hp, right?

Truck- What kind...I say hell yeah if your talking about a real truck (72-89ish Silverado, Ram Dullay, Chevy/GMC 3500, Ford F350, etc.)...no if you want a small truck

and ahh the Jetta-no, not in that condition...

Why not get a 4 door 92-95 Civic and do a LS swap? Or B16()...can't go wrong with a 4 door car in college that is "fairly quick" and gets good gas mileage...plus I doubt most people would even bother giving the 4 door a second look, good if you don't want your car stolen again.

When I said truck, I really meant truck/SUV. I would like to get a truck and lower it, give it a paint job, and get it some rims but then agian there is always the SUV and just throw some twinkies on it and install a system.

The only thing tho is that I don't really want to stop racing just cuz someone stole my car. I just want something different, you know.

So let me get some opinions on some cars like:
Mazda MX-6. I know theres not much out there for it but is it fast? I don't know anything about these cars so can someone please hit me with the knowledge.

and I'm still thinking about that Neon. any specs on it?
