If you've already got a Neuspeed tie bar stick with that. The difference will be unoticable. They're both non adjustable which means they are both good tie bars.

actually, the neuspeed lower tie are adjustable at the end link. u have to adjust them during the installation.

yeah... it's kinda hard to see it from the pic... but from all the install i've downloaded they all said to adjusted.

i figure since they are $87 each for front and back.. i was wondering what are the benefits of putting on in the front? any ideas guys?

for the back, its not worth replacing your neuspeed....you probably won't even notice a different. For the front, its a different story.

Um, you guys realize that's a FRONT lower tie bar, right? Yes, the Neuspeed REAR lower tie bar is adjustable, but their front lower tie bar(which I have) is one-piece billet alu and is non-adjustable.

I think everyone(including Neuspeed) is just using generic pics to represent both the front and rear bars, while the pics actually show the same bar, just in black and polished. So people think one is the front bar and one is the rear bar, while in reality, they're both the same bar(rear), just in different colors.

As for the Cusco front bar, it looks pretty good, and relatively reasonably priced. You used to be able to get non-adjustable Z Speed lower front bars for $50-60. Those were some good, low-cost bars. I suspect the Cusco bar is tubular steel or aluminum like the Z Speed bar, which accounts for the price difference between it and the billet Neuspeed bar.

chris... in ur opinion... what would u think will be a better bar? neuspeed being billet or the maybe tubular steel cusco? and what is the benefit of the front lower bar?

Billet is stronger, but heavier. Tubular is decently strong, lighter, and costs less. The Neuspeed front lower tie bar retails for about $200(I got mine for $115). I would not pay full price for the Neuspeed bar. The Cusco bar should be fine.

The front lower tie bar performs the same functon as the rear one. It ties the subframe together to limit flexing of the chassis.

that's a good question. it's very hard to tell. my friend said it hangs really low. but i don't know cuz it may vary from application to application. i'll be dropping by a shop today to check those out... then i'll see how low it sits.

Mine hangs about .5-.75" lower than the lowest point on my oilpan, and I've never scraped it on anything. I'm sitting at about a 2" drop on 205/50/15's in the front. You may have clearance issues if you're lower than I am. My cousin has about a 2.5-3" drop on his 5th gen with 205/40/17's and he took his Z Speed bar off because he kept scraping and hitting things with it.
