Default Mounting/Balancing

Say I buy some tires online for my rims at home. Does anyone have any idea or estimate of what it costs to mount and balance them at a tire shop? Just wondering... My guess is maybe $30-$50??

It usually costs me $60-70 to have 4 tires mounted and balanced and have the old ones disposed of.

It wouldn't hurt to crack open the yellow pages and start asking around.

Well the reason I ask around here is because I've never had it done and I have no idea what the average price is, plus aint to many places in my home town that do tires... Either way thanks for your input!

If you buy wheels and tires from the same place usually they mount and balance them for free - lilke TireRack.com or Vulcantire.com

Shops owned by family members usually let you come in and mount and balance your tires yourself because the weights cost about a nickel each (as long as you're not a dick, and stay out of their way). The mount/balance cost is all labor.

If you don't have one of those... Average price is usually around $8 a tire to balance, and the same to mount. Most shops charge $5 to dispose of tires. So... uh... same as what's been said, and why did I post?
