Default B20b block with a B16a2 head

i'm thinking about buying a b20b block for $600 and putting new pistons, rings, and rods and have the compression at 10.4. what compression would be good for my setup? and im gonna put my b16a2 head on it. will it be reliable because its my daily driver? i love my b16 but i want more power and torque and its just not there. do you think i should be able to get about 200 hp and 150 lbs. of torque with the b20vtec? people are telling me that a b20 block can handle boost way better than a b16 block can, what do you guys think?

a b20vtec can be reliable if it's built, tuned, and maintained correctly. you cant just bolt the head up and expect to have stock reliability because it never came like that from the factory.

those hp and tq numbers are not attainable from a bone stock b20vtec. and b16's handle boost much better than b20's in stock form.

putting in pistons with that low of compression would be retarded... You might get 10+ tq with that setup. NOT a good way to spend $2000...

If you are looking for some more tq, lose the b16a
