Hey guys. I got a JDM ZC SOHC non-vtech, blacktop, dual carbed motor. (1.5??? -1.6???) I am having great difficulty identifying what this came out of, and anyway to tell the year of the engine. The vendor assures me that it will fit my 94 Civic that had a D15B7 non-vtech, fuel injected. He also says that they are still running carbed engines in Japan where my motor supposedly came from. I'm hoping I don't have some 1987 or so engine that has sat for years. Everything looks super clean though. If anyone knows what this engine is I would appreciate it.

Dual Carbed...I dont think so...I believe he gave you the DPFI Civic engine...it's found on the earlier 90's models

I have heard about a two carb prelude motor from all the old boys. I have never seen one and I don't know if thy are just messing with me. I have heard it come in the first or second gen ludes? Cant rely find info that far back

92-95 did still run the dual carb motors on their 4wd Civic Ferios. However, I do not have any specs on it as they were not a popular swap or setup done on our shores.

yeah man... not a jdm d15b7 non vtec... cuz theres no such thing. my understanding was that its a d15b, vtec.
