Default Tire Sizes

How would putting 205/55/16 on the fronts and 205/50/16 on back affect the ride condition, is it ok to do this?

You'd end up having a lower profile sidewall in the rear. Putting mismatched size tires on a vehicle not designed for them can only alter and hinder the handling performance. I'd suggest keeping the same size on all four corners.

actually most exotic cars have similar setups with different sized wheel diameters and sidewall ratings.
Most honda racers in japan use a larger diameter and larger width wheel in the front than in the rear, since the car is fwd, more traction is desired.
But remember that these cars have tuned suspensions and the wheel and tire choice is part of that tuning formula.

Why would you do that? Your gearing, speedo, and odometer, would be off. The car would also accelerate like a slug.

its not a BMW man, same size sidewall all the way around. if you did anything mismatched than make the fronts wider. i dont recomend it but that would be the only thing that makes partial sense. just put 225's all the way around and hammer in the fenders a bit :shhh:
