Default P28 MT-AT How can you tell?

I'm still getting the intermittent idle up and down. Only happens after getting off the freeway, then goes away again, and then comes and goes when it feels like it. I got a P28 but I'm getting the 19 code of AT transmission lock-up. WTF?!? It's a 5-speed. If I get another one, is there any way of knowing based on the numbers on the ECU to insure that it's for a 5-speed?

Thanks for finding out.

on the other thread you had someone mentioned how to get rid of code 19. Either do that or get the right ecu. Either way there both the same ecu.

I'm confused. If at all possible, can you direct me? I didn't know that the ECU was the same. I didn't read how to get rid of a code 19. I'll check, though. Thanks for your help.

Someone spoke about removing a resistor and that would clear up code 19. And both auto and 5 speed ecu p28 are the same ecu.

If you could direct me to the thread, and specific resistor, that would be cool.

Thanks for your help, yo. Means a lot when you help.

I believe you remove RP17... It is said you must remove RP17 and RP18 then replace RP18 with a jumper wire, but I just removed RP17, left everything else alone... No code 19 and it runs as a manual ECU. Good Luck, it isnt too hard.

if yes then with the ignition on, is there at least 10 volts at the ECU between A21 and A26? what about A22 and A26? if no then bad connection between Yel/Grn wire from ignition unit to ECU (A21 or A22) or you have a bad ignitor unit.
if yes then replace ECU.

Is there DIY on this? Thanks guys.
