Default Car won't start.

Ok, my car wouldn't start today before I was to leave for work.
I had just driven it about 2 hours prior to this happening.

When I put the key in, and turn it (not cranking engine) the check engine light comes on, and goes out like normal. I can also hear the fuel pump prime itself. When I crank the engine it turns, but never turns over.

Because of this, I imagine it is probably a spark problem. (I just got home from work and havn't had a chance to check for spark yet.)

I think it is probably the coil or ignitor unit. I will test those, and look at the plugs, cap and rotor.

I just did a tune up about a year ago, so I doubt it is the cap, rotor, plugs, or wires.

What else should I look for? Thanks in advance.

Starter maybe? Prolly, not the starter. But I always check EVERY possibility.

Alright. Do I just look for corrosion on them?

also, does the fact that my car cranks without turning over rule out either the ignition coil or ignitor unit? Sorry, I don't know much about this.

No, actually it emphasizes that it could be ignition.

Also are you sure your fuelpump is doing its job?

I am betting ignition.

Yes, check for hardcore corrosion. It all depends on where you live and what kinda climate

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY ACCORD, CHECK THE MAIN FUEL RELAY WHICH WOULD BE UNDER THE DASH BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL. I REPLACED MINE AND IT DID THE JOB

this is gonna be a pain in the ass for you to fix/figure out without the proper tools/gauges...
it could be alot of things such as ignition, battery, fuel, starter system in general... i luv cars but damn, its so hard to narrow problems down sometimes
