SS or Ceramic headers?
Plain and simple...Should i go with SS or Ceramic header?
If i go with the SS will the amount of heat it produces scorch my hood? It happened to a friend...
Headers i'm looking at.
Greddy......$307.99 total (2-peice)
DC Sport...$269.00 Freeshipping (1-peice)
Both of them are 4-2-1

I would personally go with the Greddy header. The stainless steel will last longer and look better than the DC sport ceramic header.
Either one will produce a lot of heat but I don't think it would be enough to scorch a hood. My turbo manifold, on the other hand, has changed the color of my paint on the hood because of the intense heat. If worse comes to worse, you could always get some reflective heat shielding to put underneath the hood or wrap the header to prevent any paint discoloration. I don't think it will be a problem though.

How are both headers 4-2-1 headers if you said that the dc-sports are 1 piece. I could have sworn that the middle number stood for wether or not it was 2 piece or one piece. I mean i could be wrong but that is what i was told. And also i have stainless steel, THe changed this nice ass color once i put them on, like a rainbow blue and i had them on for about a 9 months now and they are starting to rust on the inside. But maybe its just cuz i didnt get good quality headers. But I have a carbon fiber hood with vents which i guess would prevent it from scorching the hood. I dont think that it is possible to scorch the hood unless you go turbo though. Stainless all the way

4-2-1 meaning 4 pipe into 2 pipe into 1 pipe.
one peice meaning one whole header...instead of 2 parts
That's 2 peice
That's 1 peice

I would go with an SS GReddy header. It looks better than ceramic, will not rust as quickly, and GReddy is a better quality brand IMO. It isn't too much more than the DC header, you're already so much in... might as well go for the better.
