Default Gas with Ethanol

Sunoco advertises 10% ethanol in their gas no matter what the grade. When I use it, I get better acceleration than regular gas from Shell. I only use Sunoco or Shell. Does the "ethanolized" gas burn cleaner and it is better for your engine? Does is leave less residue and cause less after burn products in the oil?

Chances are all gas you use has 10% ethanol. There will be a sticker on the pump even if it isn't advertised

Most companies will put ethanol in because it is cheaper to produce than gasoline, so it is essentially, a filler. Your gains are psycho-somatic.

I heard 10% ethanol mix with gas is suppose to be better than pure gas. I burns cleaner and gives better respond (That was what my mechanic prof. said). The thing is he said, how do you know it is exactly 10%, cuz 10 is the magic number.
thanks!
