When did your honda engine die?
For those of you who actually had a Honda engine die on them, please post the engine code, mileage, and reason for death (or become impractically sick)....

I had a f22 in a '90 accord blow a headgasket at 176k, but there's a great story behind that engine.
my parents got it in '90 brand new. In '92, at about 20k miles, the parents were coming back from the dealership where they had the oil changed, and the oil light came on. the mechanic didn't put the drain plug in correctly, and all the oil drained. But they refilled it, and no major issue happend.
they sold it to my sister in '98, and my sister sold it to me in '00, with 120k. I beat the hell out of that car. ragged on the tranny. eventually, I was delivering pizza's with it, logging 1000 a week for a little over a year. about 160k, the coolent system started acting up, and it would overheat. I blew 2 hoses on seperate occasions in 100* south texas heat+humidity, draining the coolent, but the bitch kept running.
finally, we were going to have the dealership work on it, but while they were test driving it, the headgasket finally went. I signed the title over and gave my parents $2000, got my moms old car (the 18secferih: ), and let them use the accord as a trade in.

1992 Honda civic dx hatchback. I bought brand new in Toronto. I've had it ever since. I'm on my 3rd Honda muffler, 3rd midpipe, 2nd alternator. It has 377,000km (236,000miles) and still starts up everyday no matter what the weather is outside. It just failed the emissions test for the 1st time in the nitrous oxide category. The limit was 600 and it read just over 1,000. My mechanic told me to make sure the catylic conv. is hot and use higher octane gas with fuel additive.
The body is in great shape with almost no visible rust. The AC compressor went capoot (sp?) just about a week ago.
It'll never die I tell you,... Neva!!! Nevaaaaaaa!!!!
