i have one on my 94 LS....installation was pretty standard with regard to aftermarket parts. From what I remember there were a few minor hiccups with fitting and everything but nothing major that would require any substantial extra preparation. I have to note that I did install it in concert with my STR throttle body, although I don't know if that changes much. I remember having a sensor issue during the installation but i think it was throttle body related. I like the Skunk 2 though...it gave me more top-end kick as a result of the extra airflow and I imagine it would affect the v-tec range on your gs-r pretty nicely.
