Yes, it looks like you have the right connector... Mine on my EG civic is green, but the color prob changed with OBD-2...

You prob haven't shorted it out correctly... Just make sure the metal of the wire/paperclip is touching the metal of the wire contacts...

If you have no flashes, and you're car is running fine except for the Check engine light (CEL), than it just means you didn't short it out correctly...
